An Exciting Time at SPX Filtran!

Demand for improved fuel economy and stricter emissions control  is driving unprecedented development in the global automotive powertrain arena.  As a result, our global engineering teams are busy working on several innovative filtration solutions to meet the ongoing challenges of our customers. 

Our new CombiMedia® transmission filter is an outstanding example of our ongoing commitment to innovation.  Through extensive development, our engineers have designed a single filter that combines the superior flow performance of a traditional suction-side filter with the high efficiency particle removal properties of a pressure filter.   The net result is better filtration performance coupled with cost and weight savings for our customers! 

Filtran has also recently launched our first entrance into the heavy duty market with the introduction of the DoubleDuty® diesel engine lube filter line.  DoubleDuty® filters combine a high efficiency full flow oil filter with an integral by-pass filter element that effectively removes soot, sludge, and particles smaller than 4 microns.  These features allow our customers to at least double the traditional oil/filter change intervals.  The proven cost savings and reduced environmental impact of our new DoubleDuty® product line helps keep Filtran at the forefront of technological innovations that help both our customers and the environment.
